RUNNER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
A. Technogym S.p.A. ("Technogym"), and the international athletics federation World Athletics ("World Athletics") have developed and organized the RUN X™|World Treadmill Championship, the first world running competition on treadmills connected to the Technogym internet platform (the "RUN X Championship").
B. The RUN X Championship is a global running challenge held over the official distance of 5,000 metres (5 Km) on connected Technogym treadmills where Runners can advance through stages to a final.
C. The format of the RUN X Championship includes early stages of official and qualifying competitions held at RUN X Official Centres (each, an "Official Center"), followed by a final stage held at the location determined by Technogym and World Athletics.
D. Technogym is the implementing entity and principal licensor of the RUN X Official Centres sporting program (the "RUN X Program"), who participate in the RUN X Program and host the RUN X World Treadmill Championship stages.
E. World Athletics is the governing body recognising RUN X Championship as the official World Treadmill Championships.
F. Runner is each individual participant registered with RUN X who participates in the RUN X Championship and runs on designated Technogym treadmills.
G. These Runner Terms and Conditions of Participation (“Terms and Conditions”) shall govern the Runner’s participation in the RUN X Program at RUN X Official Centres (each, an “Official Center”). Participation in any stage of the RUN X Program and the RUN X Championship constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1.1. Each individual applying as RUN X Championship participant ("Runner") must register by creating a personal RUN X identification ("ID"). Once registration has been completed successfully, the Runner shall select the RUN X Official Center (“Official Center”) where his/her/their timed attempt(s) will be recorded (locations available on https://www.runx.org/).
1.2. Further information regarding the Runner participation to the RUN X Qualifications and Regionals stages shall be provided by the Official Center and on RUNX.ORG
1.3. Each Runner must log in to Technogym Treadmill to run the 5,000 metres (5km), failure of which will result in the Runner’s result being disqualified.
1.4. Completion of the RUN X project training and trial sessions by a Runner is permitted in any of the indicated stages starting from the official launch onwards, including beyond the Finals, provided that the Runner has accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1.5. To record a performance eligible for the official RUN X Championship ranking, a Runner must complete the run at a designated Official Center, found within the locator in-App. When running at an Official Center, a Runner may choose to perform a run for the official ranking during the official race windows or for training purposes during the remaining days outside the race windows. Any performance completed outside an Official Center (as per private use at home) will be considered for training purposes only and not be eligible for the official RUN X Championship ranking. Such performances may be included in a separate, general leaderboard for personal comparison.
1.6. The RUN X Official Centers will verify the Runner’s identity and age corresponds to his/her RUN X ID, and, where applicable according to national applicable law or regulations, the Runner holds a valid medical certificate to exercise at the Official Center.
1.7. Technogym reserves the right (acting reasonably) not to certify times achieved, even during qualification days, in cases of non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions or where the Runner’s identity cannot be verified with certainty.

4. RUN X CHAMPIONSHIP STAGES
4.1. The RUN X Championship is held in multiple phases, according to a unique format derived from the World Athletics RUN X Championship with the aim of allowing all Runners regardless of their level, to compete.
4.2. To record a performance eligible for the official RUN X Championship ranking, a Runner must complete their run at a designated Official Center. Official Centers are the only venues authorized to host official RUN X events, such as Qualifications and Regionals. Runners are free to use the RUN X tile for training purposes on any compatible Technogym treadmill, including those at home, in hotels, or at other facilities. However, any performance completed outside of a designated Official Center will not be eligible for the official RUN X Championship ranking. Furthermore, any performance completed at an Official Center not included in the official race windows will not be considered valid for the official ranking but only for the open global leaderboard.
4.3. The stages of the RUN X Championship are as follows:
4.3.1. Stage 1 ("Qualifications"): The Qualification stages take place during a period of 2 (two) months. The official calendar shall be formalised and communicated to operators and participants before the start of the competition. During this period, all participants registered through the official RUN X Program channels holding an official account may run the 5000 metres (5 Km) distance on Technogym Treadmills located in the Official Centers and connected to the Technogym Ecosystem, meeting the models and features indicated below.
i. The ” Qualifications”, being the sole stages for determining official race times ahead of the Regionals, shall be organized primarily on Saturdays and Sundays in the qualification period. Additionally, each Official Center can organize Qualifications also on other weekdays, provided that the provisions of these Terms and Conditions regarding responsibility and supervision are in place and applied. The Official Center shall communicate any weekdays in which it wishes to organise Qualifications before the start of the competition via the dedicated function set up in the Mywellness Cloud platform. The Official Center shall in any case organise no fewer than 10 (ten) race days in the Qualifications period.
ii. The RUN X Program will also designate 5 (five) fixed global days to which the Official Center must adhere (the "RUN X Days") so that the Official Center and the RUN X Championship may benefit from maximum amplification. These indications will be provided before the start of the Qualifications, when the official calendar is formalised.
iii. At the end of each run, the system automatically generates a certified result and updates the ranking (leaderboard available on the website and app) by biological sex, age category, Area (continental) and country/territory. Areas and Country/Territory are defined in accordance with the classification of World Athletics’ Member Federations (https://worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/structure/member-federations).
iv. Throughout Stage 1 ("Qualifications"), Runners may record only one run per day during the official run windows. At the end of Stage 1, the Runners best time will be considered. An official certificate will be issued for each runner’s best time, and qualified runners (see 4.3.2) will be eligible to advance to Stage 2. Runners that have qualified for Stage 2 (“Regionals”) will be notified indicating the procedures, dates and locations of the appointed Official Centers to holding Stage 2 (“Regionals”).

The Regional stages shall be hosted exclusively at Official Centers that have at least one (1) Technogym Skillrun compliant with the model and technical specifications set out in condition below, in order to ensure a high standard for the evaluation and comparison of run times. For the entire duration of Stage 2, each participant may record only one qualifying race.

Each of said runners shall have (i) completed the official RUN X registration procedure in full, and (ii) achieved a valid qualifying time within the official race calendar and exclusively at the designated Official Centers.

iii. For the avoidance of doubt, failure by a Country or Territory to meet the above‑specified minimum participation threshold shall automatically preclude such Country from appointing a representative for the Qualifications or Regional stages in the age group and sex category concerned, irrespective of any individual performance results.
