Personal Responsibility: You declare that you are in good health, suitably trained, and physically fit for an intense 5K run. Participation is voluntary, and you assume all associated risks (e.g., fatigue, falls, injuries, cardiovascular events).
Medical Certificate: It is your sole responsibility to provide a valid medical certificate to your Official Center if required by local law. Technogym and World Athletics do not verify these certificates.
Safety Instructions: You must use Technogym treadmills properly and follow all instructions from the RUN X Specialist. In case of illness or injury, stop running immediately, using the emergency stop button if necessary.

  • Prohibited Actions: Any conduct that could alter your time or compromise safety is strictly forbidden and will lead to disqualification. This includes:

  1. Using unauthorized aids or assistance.

  • Complaints: Any complaint regarding a performance result must be submitted in writing to your Official Center within 48 hours of the event. The Official Center will therefore contact Technogym that at its sole discretion and, after validity checks, may decide to accept or reject such complaint.
  • Part 2: How to Find an Official Center
To compete in the official stages of the championship, you must run at a designated RUN X Official Center. These are the only venues authorized to host official Qualification and Regional events.
You can locate your nearest Official Center through the following channels:
  • Official Website: A complete list of Official Centers will be available on the RUN X website at www.runx.org.
  • In-App Locator: Use the locator tool available within the dedicated mobile applications.
Any runs completed outside of an Official Center (e.g., at home or a non-affiliated gym) will be considered for training purposes only and will not be included in the official championship ranking.

Part 3: The Role of the Official Center

Official Centers are crucial to ensuring the fairness and integrity of the RUN X championship. Their key responsibilities include:
  • Hosting Official Races: They are the exclusive venues for hosting the Qualification and Regional stages of the championship.
  • Identity Verification: The Official Center staff will verify that your identity and age match your RUN X ID profile. They may also require a valid medical certificate in accordance with local laws.
  • Supervision: Each race is overseen by a trained RUN X Specialist who is responsible for:
  • Equipment Checks: Ensuring treadmills are functioning correctly and connected to the network before your race.
  1. Runner Safety: Conducting a visual check of your fitness and having the authority to stop a race if there is a manifest safety risk.
  2. Enforcing Fair Play: Monitoring your run to ensure compliance with all rules and preventing any form of cheating.
  3. Protocol and Reporting: Ensuring the race follows official guidelines and documenting any anomalies, interruptions, or incidents.
  4. Technical Standards: Official Centers must use specific connected Technogym treadmills and ensure they are properly maintained and have a stable internet connection for your result to be recorded accurately.
