3a. Special Participation Modalities (without Technogym ID)

Whereas participation in the RUN X Championship is in principle subject to the use of a personal Technogym ID, it is technically possible for a Runner to participate by other means (e.g., by using an access credential issued by an Official Center). The provisions below exclusively govern such cases of participation.
By launching the challenge and accepting the RUN X Terms and Conditions without authenticating through a personal Technogym ID, the Runner enters into a direct contractual agreement with Technogym, strictly limited to the purpose of participation in the challenge.
In such cases, the Runner acknowledges and agrees that:
(a) Technogym will process personal data (e.g., identifiers linked to the access credential, performance data recorded on the Technogym Treadmill) strictly necessary to manage the Runner’s participation. In the absence of a Technogym ID and of specific consent, the data collected will not be used for any other purpose.
(b) Data relating to the Runner’s performance (such as time and leaderboard position) will be shared with World Athletics for the purposes of managing the global leaderboards. The Runner is invited to consult World Athletics' privacy policy, available at https://worldathletics.org/privacy-policy.
Technogym is not responsible for the issuance, management, conditions, or revocation of any access credential not linked to a personal Technogym ID. For any queries regarding such credentials, the Runner must contact the Official Center that issued them. Any query related to the processing of personal data by Technogym under this modality shall be directed to dpo@technogym.com.
For all matters not addressed in this section, please refer to the remainder of this privacy notice.

4. Who we share personal data with

Your personal data may be disclosed to:
  • technology providers and hosting providers;
  • web agencies and IT vendors;

5. What about cross-border transfers?

When we share your personal data as described above, such personal information may be transferred both within and outside the United States, including in the Principality of Monaco where World Athletics has its headquarters. If we transfer your personal information outside the United States, we will only do so in line with the applicable laws, and we will require that there is an adequate level of protection for your personal information, and that appropriate security measures are in place. Where data is processed outside of the United States, it remains subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in those jurisdictions.

  • for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected;
  • for the duration of the RUN X Championship project;
  • for additional periods where required by legal or regulatory obligations;
  • for the duration of the requested service;
  • and until consent is withdrawn for profiling and marketing activities.
You may request deletion of your Technogym account at any time. While the account is deleted immediately, data collected through the account and related to purchases and/or use of our Service are retained for 7 years, in line with the applicable statutory limitation periods. Where data are anonymized, they become irreversibly non‑recoverable.
Please note: if you chose to share your personal data with a Facility, deleting your Technogym account does not mean your data become inaccessible to the Facility. To have your data fully deleted, you must contact the Facility and follow the instructions in its privacy notice.

7. How we protect your personal data

We have physical, technical and organizational security measures in place to protect your personal data from being unlawfully accessed, used, disclosed, lost or to protect it from any other breach. Depending on the volume and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it is used and the format in which it is stored, we implement a combination of measures to protect your personal information, including:
A privacy framework governing the protection of personal information through its lifecycle. This framework defines the roles and responsibilities of our personnel, provides a process for dealing with complaints regarding the protection of the information, and addresses the retention and destruction of personal information.
Internal policies and procedures that define the roles and responsibilities of our employees throughout the information life cycle and limits their access to such information on a “need-to-know” basis.
